I grew up in a small town near Boston, MA where the world seemed so far away. My quiet neighborhood echoed with snowplows backing up, landscapers, or street hockey. As I grew, I found the desire to break through the suburban monotony. University opened my world to an almost limitless expanse of creativity and inspiration.
After taking 10 years to work in education, I dove back into my studio practice. Taking inspiration from dream-state, balance and perceived disarray, my aim is to push my work beyond the limit I believe exists in my process.
Balance and disarray, order and chaos. They are just words designed to control us. Grab a beverage and see where it goes. It’ll all work out somehow. It always does.
